Dr. Reginald S. Boyce is a distinguished leader and dedicated public servant, currently serving as the Director of Community Affairs for the City of Memphis and Special Assistant to theHonorable Paul A. Young.

 

He is the Senior Pastor of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church and
the CEO of Empower901, a nonprofit supporting at-risk youth and underserved families.

Dr. Boyce's commitment to community and spiritual leadership began in 2005 and has been recognized with numerous awards, including Pastor of the Year and the Community Leader Award from the NAACP Jackson, TN Branch. He holds degrees from Lane College and Memphis Theological Seminary, where he earned his Doctorate in Ministry with a focus on Collaborative Storytelling.

In addition to his pastoral duties, Dr. Boyce serves as the Chaplain for both the Shelby County Sheriff's Office and the Memphis-Shelby County Juvenile Court. His contributions to the community were acknowledged as a “Change Maker” by Leadership Memphis in 2022 and by the Memphis Police Department, which named him Clergy Leader of the Year in 2023.

As an educator, Dr. Boyce is an adjunct professor at the Tennessee School of Religion, teaching Christian Education and Storytelling. He also holds leadership positions within religious organizations, including Congress President for the Tennessee Baptist Missionary & Educational Convention, Inc., and Moderator of the Whitehaven District.

Dr. Boyce is a board member of Memphis Inner City Rugby and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi. He is supported by his wife, Crystal Chandler, and their four daughters: Trinity, Carrington, Reagan, and Raelynn Boyce. His life and work are a testament to his unwavering dedication to faith, community service, and the empowerment of others.
